I spend alot of my day working on the computer. Looking at numbers, typing in numbers, making charts and graphs. Also to write letters and reports. Plus I send alot of emails.
For fun I use the computer to read blogs, like yours or your mom’s, chat with friends on twitter and facebook, post pictures I took and look at other pictures too.
I also do research on the computer, for work and for fun. I don’t play games, but my kids do.
I am 42 years old. This is how *I* use my computer: I read the national and local news, I send and receive email with friends, I chat with my friends, and I look up information about which I am curious. I blog, I tweet, I shop, I watch shows and movies, and I even help my daughter go to school on my computer sometimes!

I use my computer to do my homework, do research about things I want to know more about, stay in touch with friends and family, edit photographs, write in my blog, watch movies, listen to music and even to have video chats with people!
I am an old person and have trouble seeing my computer screen because I use a laptop most of the time.
I use the computer for many, many things and spend too much time sitting to do those things.
I am a learning facilitator via the computer and I run college courses through the computer.
I am a photographer and use the computer to store my images.
I use the computer to connect and communicate with people all over the world.
Why do you blog? Why do you tweet? Are you a good chess player?

Here is how I use a computer:
– I use it to work with people in a city 500 km away, while I sit in my comfy pants at home. They send me emails and instant messages all day, and then I send them back pictures of cute animals and big charts full of numbers.
– I use it to keep in touch with my friends and family in that city 500 km away, and cities all over the country and the world. I read all their posts and tweets and blogs and it makes me feel like I am right there with them.
– I use it to read the news from all over the world, and then I use it to read silly comics and look at funny pictures so I don’t have to think about all the bad news I just read.
– I use it to learn more about everything I want to know about it by taking online classes through a distance learning program at a University.
If you put it all together, I almost use my computer too much. It’s such an important tool, but it can keep you away from other important things like birds, trees, butterflies, swings, and dogs. David Suzuki, who is a very smart man with a name just like your Dad, says that everyone should make time to go outside everyday, and I agree. Make sure between your tweets and blogs that you go listen to real tweets and chase dogs.

I use my computer to blog and tweet, too. I also use it to share photographs with my family, to write long papers, to shop, and to read and answer a lot of email.
Because I’m a librarian, I also use the computer to help people find books or information they want. And I use it to buy new books for my library, too.
Like the others who have commented, I use my computer to look up information and to communicate with friends and family. I have also used my computer to attend school classes using my computer’s webcam and microphone. However, one of my favorite things to do on my computer is to talk to your dad, Jeff Lebow, and John Schinker during our webcasts. Maybe you have seen me on your dad’s computer screen? I live in Chicago, so it is very cool to be able to see them and chat with them from the computer in my home. I have never met your dad or mom in person, but because of my computer they are my friends. That is awesome, right?!

Grandmaman loves to play games on the computer and write and receive e-mails from family and friends. Grandpapa and I also play games on the computer and enjoy seeing their kids and grandchildren on skype!!
I’m 38 years old. Most of the time I use my computer to write books and make pictures, but one time, an old witch knocked on my door, but she wasn’t a scary old witch, she looked pretty alright. So she smiled and said “Step back!” and so I stepped back and she said SHAZAAM! and a green thing came out the end of her wand and my computer glowed green and there was kind of a bit of a buzzing noise. And then she said “There!” and looked very satisfied and then she left. I went up to it and turned it on and the screen said: WHERE WOULD YOU LIKE TO GO and there was a box to type in, so I said I WOULD LIKE TO GO TO EGPYT AND SEE A MUMMY and it said PUT YOUR HAND HERE and there was the shape of a hand on the screen. I put my hand there and then WHOOSH we were flying through the sky, me and my computer, and we flew over Charlottetown and I waved but you didn’t see me. And we kept flying, and then I saw the pyramids, and then we went down, and that’s a whole other story but it was pretty cool. That only happened once though. The rest of the time, if I’m not writing stories or making pictures, I use my computer to hold up my mug of tea. I probably shouldn’t do that.

I use the computer to blog too, but I need to do more of it. I also use it to search for information, email my friends, use twitter, and read news.
I also use it to do my work (which is a lot of typing and reading and writing).

I spend pretty much my whole day on the computer, both for work and for fun. I watch movies and read the news. I visit funny sites and play video games. I keep in touch with my family and my friends through email, Facebook, and other things.
For work, I help people with their own websites, by helping them install software that they need or to fix broken things that they either don’t know how or aren’t able to fix themselves. I help keep servers, special computers that websites live on, up and running.
I also read and tell stories, both other people’s and my own. I use the computer for pretty much every part of my day.
I don’t tweet but I see birds outside tweeting. If I could catch one of those birds I would be a happy cat.

I draw pictures. I fix photographs. I play games. I am on Facebook too. I send a lot of emails. I get a lot more back. I write a blog and put pictures in it.

Hi Oscar. This is a good question – well done for asking it. I teach teachers (someone has to), and I think one of the best ways of teaching is to ask good questions.
I use my computer to see what other teachers are doing and to get ideas from them. Lots of teachers these days do their teaching not in a classroom, but on the Internet. Some teachers use blogs to teach, by telling their students what to write about on their blogs. I do this, and so does your dad. That’s why I follow him on Twitter.
I also don’t sleep very much, so I use my computer to amuse myself when I’m awake at 4 o’clock in the morning (like now). No-one else is awake over here in England but I think it is still the evening where you are, so everyone is still doing interesting things 🙂

I am 24 years old. I used to have neat handwriting but now I mostly type all day long and hardly ever use a pen or a pencil.
I tweet too. Facebook and twitter and gmail are always open unless I have lots of work to do. Sometimes I grade papers and write plans and ideas and things that I think about.
I write little stories about the things I love and the things that scare me. Most times I share them, and sometimes I don’t.
I listen to music all day long with iTunes. All day long.
I watch DVDs or stream TV shows online.
I look at pictures and fiddle with the pictures I’ve taken myself.
I read.
I have conversations about lots of different things (hard things and easy things and most things in between) with people who I don’t always know, and some who I do.
And sometimes I’m tricky and lucky enough to stumble across the special places like this, where cool dudes like you share about their lives. Keep doing this Oscar. You are terrific.

I’m 40 and I use my computer every day for lots of reasons, such as:
– research (contacting participants, analysing data, finding interesting articles, and writing)
– keeping in touch with family and friends (via emails, Twitter, Facebook, or even video chats)
– storing information (what I need to do each day, interesting things my kids have done, pictures I’ve taken)
– fun (reading sites or blogs or articles I find interesting, or watching videos or tv shows)
– errands (look up things I need to buy and where to get them, pay bills, order groceries)
– distracting my kids by letting them watch ABC4kids (especially when I need to cut their nails or comb my daughter’s tangled hair because it makes things a lot easier for everyone)
– a mirror (sometimes I use Photo Booth to check if I have spinach in my teeth before heading out – if it’s not there it means I need to find some spinach and put it in! 😉 )
Chess, by the way, is a game I’d like to learn to play one day. It’s on a long list of things I’d like to do once I finish my research. Are there other things you’d like to do?
